I am so pleased to be able to connect with you in this way and invite you to connect with me.
As many of you know, for the last four years, I have been privileged to serve the Mount Clemens, Clinton Township and Harrison Township communities as your 41-B District Court judge. The experience has meant a great deal to me and I thank you for the opportunity.
I have seen much of what troubles our community in that time, but also what makes it great. I see the lawbreakers, but also the crime victims and the families, friends and neighbors who stand with them.
As a judge, I take my responsibilities very seriously. I believe that all litigants are entitled to respect. I am fair to those seeking justice and firm with those who have broken the law. If you visit my courtroom, you’ll find an atmosphere of openness, fairness and civility.
As a community member, I am proud to join hands with you and to contribute all I can toward keeping our community safe, vibrant and strong.
I am fully prepared to serve Mount Clemens, Clinton Township and Harrison Township for the next six years, to build on my four years in 41-B and my 14 years as an Assistant Macomb County Prosecutor. And I am ready to take to the next level the innovations I started, such as establishing a pilot Drug Court at the district level to reach abusers effectively before they become felons.
Your vote on Election Day, November 2, 2010, will give me that opportunity. Thank you.
